EA's naming logic is funny sometimes, and it's interesting to see the strange names you get, set aside the many duplicates of NHL players you get. In NHL 14, I picked up this 3.5 red star dude named Tiny Baby. I traded him to Chicago where he slowly grew to 82 OVR. And then in NHL 15, I got in one draft, an ENFORCER named Jack Ast (jackassed, enforcer...) and in another a guy named Tom Toms. This technically is a duplicate, but 2 drafts ago I found 2 guys named R. Getzlaf and R. Niedermayer. Neither of their names were Ryan or Rob, though; they both were named Russell.
