    Edward Worrall $0.50 mil over 3 years - F, 23 y/o, 51 OVR 57 POT

We had to sign Worrell so we'd have at least 10 players on our team. Not a fan of the signing. I'm eyeing Smith, Rickard and Johnson. Hopefully we can get them. Kyle Lowry is available but I don't even know if we should bring him back. He was 37 and he finally won a Championship. Logically, you'd retire after that. Lowry coming back makes me think that he still thinks he's good...

    Current Roster
I've got an announcement, BREAKING NEWS!
DeMar DeRozan will no longer be a starter on the Toronto Raptors due to an overload of talent. We need to move on and their are guys waiting looking to become the next DeMar DeRozan. I've put him as the sixth man but who knows what the Coach will do.

Sucks to see Wiggins dropping but Caboclo improving is a major upgrade. If he kept falling from 67, there'd be a chance he'd end up being a 60 by the last year of his contract, where we'd still be paying him $20 million. Sucks to see Zimmerman drop but I'm glad we didn't o 5 years with him. PARR. That man jumped like CRAZY. I guess he'll be taking over DeRozan's spot in the starting 5. And nicely done by Sanders as he grows. Solid top 5 that is better all around.

The bench consists of veteran presence in DeRozan. Paul Smith is an amazing play maker who will probably start some games when players in the top 5 get hurt. He's a guy the Raptors do need. John jumped as well and he's probably looking for some money when his contract ends. This season will decide if we move with him as our backup Center. Worall sadly dropped but is still effective. Bennett will probably be gone, I don't really know.

Well, we are currently 1st in the power rankings again.
The Knicks are young and scary... and there are a bunch of eastern teams topping the power ranking which is scary.
We're gonna look to keep on winning and keep tabs on Rees who has recently grown a lot and looks really good which means Charlotte probabLy won't give him up :(
But yea, LET'S GET ANOTHER ONE!

    Injury Update
Going into game #7 vs the Milwaukee Bucks...

Gerald Zimmerman out 25 games with a fractured foot

Yea, that's more than 1/4th of the season. And we lose a Center which is a bigger loss than it looks like. In a game against the Wizards where we won by 30, Zimmerman was injured only playing 13.4 minutes however tallying 12 points and 3 rebounds which is DAMN good. He was on FIRE and they sent him to the hospital.
The Bucks on the other end, look pretty good this season.

    EDIT:

    @ MIL L 98-74

I don't even know what happened. Inglid, Ward and Sanchez killed us. Samuel John got his first double-double 10 points and rebounds each. Just a letdown this game.

    SIGNING!
    Johnathan Smith $0.50 mil over 1 year (2024) - SG, 27 y/o, 56 Overall 72 Potential

Minutes after a crushing loss to the Bucks, I went out and claimed Johnathan Smith. Smith was a 6th overall pick back in 2019 but couldn't find his touch in Sacramento. He went to Brooklyn and found some success. Now he's with Toronto, looking to earn big minutes.

Yes he's a Guard but we've only got 10 players. Our players will wear out playing big minutes. Smith has a good overall so why not bring him in.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are also getting good value for Paul Smith so I might look to trade him. Kenneth Rees is a possibility. Smith will play 4th off the bench, in between John and Worrall.

    SIGNING!
    Brice Johnson $0.50 mil over 1 year (2024) - PF, 30 y/o, 56 Overall 56 Potential

Now THIS is what we need. A strong bench player who is also a forward. And we've never had a true power forward ever since Patrick Patterson left. Johnson even got better over the summer just to boost his chances of getting signed. This guy will be beneficial.
I've put him in between John and J. Smith.

    HOMESTAND!
So we've got our longest homestand of the season right now with a 6 game stay. And on top of that we've got a couple of injuries as Sanders just recently got injured. We've got some good teams and some bad teasm on this homestand so it shouldn't be that bad.
Zimmerman will be missing the entire homestand.
    We got...

Denver 5-12 T-14th in Western Conference
Charlotte 7-10 T-10th in Eastern Conference
Milwaukee 9-7 8th in Eastern Conference
Chicago 9-8 9th in Eastern Conference
Detroit 6-10 12th in Eastern Conference
Dallas 8-9 T-8th in Western Conference
    Coming into town.

    1ST GAME
vs Denver Nuggets 5-13 15th in West
Rebuilding team we should be able to beat them. 70 overall Thomas Brown and a 66 overall Kelly Oubre. Two youngsters in Bender and Pollock who are 68 and 64. Their bench is pretty decent tbh with a couple of 50's. They have William Williams, Gerard Sousa and Jason Kim who look like they'll be a key part of this Nuggets future.
    We gotta win.
We had an off day and thy just played and lost. We've been informed that Pollock will not be starting for this game due to an injury.

    Injuries

Denver Nuggets - Keith Pollock out 6 games with a strained hamstring
Toronto Raptors - Gerald Zimmerman out 13 games with a fractured foot, Gregory Sanders out 2 games with a strained hamstring

Honestly a pretty surprising game. Two of our starters out and we get a HUGE effort on offense. Most of it due to DeRozan and his 26 points. But Wiggins DOE. 28 points and 13 rebounds for the double-double. Caboclo also with a great effort as he dropped 23.
Oubre and Bender still managed to get 21 each.

    And it results in a...

    vs DEN W 139-99

    2ND GAME
vs Charlotte Hornets 7-11 T-11th in East
Aweeeee this team. I've been watching them since last year. KENNETH REES. They've got a great big three with Beal (70 OVR), Byrd (65 OVR) and Davis (67 OVR). And then, they have a youngster in Miguel Johnson at 55. And to complete their top 5, they have my boy, KENNETH REES who jumped 5 over the summer to a 63 overall. Their bench isn't that great. A 50 and Andres Panek who dropped to a 50 as well. James Johnson looks like a promising rookie and Max Cain is a nice young asset.
I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us but we should be able to win.
So, we had yet another off day and that means Gregory Sanders will be back.

    Injuries

    Charlotte Hornets - None
Toronto Raptors - Gerald Zimmerman out 12 games with a fractured foot

Woe. Omg that was different. Our highest scorer was the one that just came back from injury with 17.
    Davis with a double-double and Beal with 17. KENNETH REES with a game-high 22...

    And it results in a...

    vs CHA L 68-96

    3RD GAME
vs Milwaukee Bucks 11-8 T-7th in East
A pretty weird team here. They had a good chance a couple years ago but one of their stars missed a whole season due to a torn ACL. And it turned the ship of this franchise. Now they're back, restocked and looking for the playoffs. A young Donald Greene who is a 69. They've got Inglis at a 66. Lemelin is a 62. And then it gets meh with a mix of decent to good players in their prime and youngsters. They've got 2023 draftees Jason Parrett and Randall Lee who are great picks.

    Injuries

    Milwaukee Bucks - None
Toronto Raptors - Gerald Zimmerman out 10 games with a fractured foot

It was up and down but a better game here. Caboclo led with 19 and the whole team was well all around.
Inglis and Ward with 16 each for the Bucks.

    And it results in a...

    vs MIL W 95-73

    4TH GAME
vs Chicago Bulls 10-10 T-9th in East
Well, this team has gotten worse. Ronnie Johnson at 69, Michael Wright at 64 and 2023 draftee John Knox at 62. Thompson, Selden and Len are still here. And they just recently signed Hassan Owens. But the cap really killed them and when Drummond left, they were in trouble.

    Injuries

    Chicago Bulls - None
    Toronto Raptors - None

Great game but at a costly price :/. Wiggins and Caboclo each with double-double's. Sanders led with 26. The bench was GREAT.
Ronnie Johnson led Chicago with 26.

    And it results in a...

    vs CHI W 127-82

    But damnnn...
    Injury Update
Charles Parr out 8 games with a fractured finger

He played a lot tbh. 34.8 minutes and had 17 points. But he messed up his finger and now we're yet again, two starters down...

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4 games in, we're 3-1 which is pretty good. IMO, Caboclo has been our best player. He's been grinding each game and putting up amazing stats.
    1st game vs DEN - 23 PTS, 6 REB, 5 AST, 4 STL
    2nd game vs CHA - 12 PTS, 4 REB, 4 AST
    3rd game vs MIL - 19 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST
    4th game vs CHI - 23 PTS, 10 REB, 4 AST (Double-double)

But then, the injury bug this year has killed the Raptors. Multiple players have been sidelined and most of them have been starters.
    Zimmerman has missed 15 games.
    Sanders has missed 1 game.
And now Parr will most likely miss 8.

    But we gotta keep going.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    5TH GAME
vs Detroit Pistons 8-13 12th in East
A rebuilding team that holds the league's record for the current longest postseason drought at 5 years. They've got a 65 overall MKG. Joel Emblid at 59. Youngsters Adam Patrick and Dennis Childress at 64 and 59, both 22 years of age. Tony Mitchell and Andrew Harrison are great veterans to help the bench. They've also got a couple other youngsters. This Detroit team is built pretty well. Looks like they're headed in the right direction.

    Injuries

    Detroit Pistons - None
Toronto Raptors - Gerald Zimmerman out 8 games with a fractured foot, Charles Parr out 8 games with a fractured finger

We played strong throughout the course of the event. Caboclo led with 19. Our bench came in big in the absence of Zimmerman and Parr. Bennett and Johnson combined for 22. And if you add John's 8, then that's 30 right there! Props to the bench in this one.
MKG came out with 21 for Detroit.

    And it results in a...

    vs DET W 100-89

    6TH GAME
vs Dallas Mavericks 11-12 9th in West
This a pretty good team. They play in the hardest division however where the top 4 are in playoff spots while Dallas is at the bottom just 0.5 games out.
They're on a 3 game winning streak which is firing things up. Ruben Williams got better and is now a 74. A 68 in Robert Murrell. 59 and 58 in Desmond Johnson and Gus Singley. And then it's decent.
We should be able to win but we're probably not gonna.

    Injuries

    Dallas Mavericks - None
Toronto Raptors - Gerald Zimmerman out 6 games with a fractured foot, Charles Parr out 6 games with a fractured finger

Good game here as well. Our defense has been spectacular. Again, great bench presence. The top 5 had points in double digits. Smith and John combined for 26. Mix in Johnson's 8 and you get 34 off the bench from 3 players.
Both Williams and Singley with double-double's for Dallas. Murrell led the offense with 17.

    And it results in a...

    vs DAL W 106-89
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5-1 with a bunch of injuries? I'll take that ;). Great homestand here. We played hard and we earned these wins.
We've passed the first update date so I've gotta go straight to that.
    But nicely done here.

So we're still good with all the injuries believe it or not. 18-5 on top of the East but not the league. That spots reserved for Golden State. As we keep pushing, the guys that we've signed from FA and have inserted into the bench have been coming through. Our success is coming from basically three things. Caboclo and the boys up front holding it together. The bench, just AMAZING. And the benefit of having the best defensive core in the league. And our profit, has finally started to push.

So as you can see, there are a lot of positives that you can take from this injury plague season. The biggest being that we haven't lost this season to injury :lol
But yea, our frontcourt is making an impact on the league. Caboclo and Wiggins are taking great strides. Paul Smith has been a factor as well. This team is getting fuel from the back end. Also, WIGGINS is tied for 4th in the league in rebounds.
My message to the team as of now, is to just stay healthy. We've got a crazily talented group. This team might be better that the previous ones. We've got to stay healthy to stay in the race. Zimmerman and Parr will be back soon and we'll be on fire if we aren't already.

And also, we're on the watch out for Brett Rickard...

Going into game #26 vs the New Orleans Pelicans...

Bruno Caboclo out 4 games with back spasms
Gerald Zimmerman out 3 games with a fractured foot
Charles Parr out 3 games with a fractured finger

OMG. 3/5th's of our starters are injured.

    God DAYUM.

In a loss to the last place Atlanta Hawks, Bruno Caboclo got injured only playing 18.3 minutes. However he put up a solid 12 points.
    Damn, this hurts.

    EDIT:

    vs NOP L 93-127

OMG if it couldn't get worse. More injuries (Find out in the upcoming post). We got outscored 11 - 32 in the 2nd quarter and it was done from there.
Wiggins with 20. Paul Smith with 10 dimes as a starter. Johnson with 19 in his first ever start as a Raptor. Smith with 15 off the bench.

Gerald Zimmerman out 2 games with a fractured foot
Charles Parr out 2 games with fractured finger
Edward Worrall out 3 games with sprained wrist

Um, I think we should sign some guy fro temporary use... We're down to 8 active players on the current roster. In a crushing loss vs the New Orleans Pelicans, Worrell played a pretty big amount to start off with. 13.7 minutes and only managed to get 3 rebounds, a point and a steal. But also managed to get injured and mess up his wrist.
But I'm hopeful we can win this.

    EDIT:

    vs MIA W 131-101

I don't what just happened and I don't know how we got all that offense. We only had three bench players :lol.
Smith as the sixth man played 29.7 minutes when he only averages 21.2 minutes per game. Bennett played 27.2 when he gets 16.7 MPG. John played 25.3 and only averages 19.5 minutes per game. DeRozan stepped up with 23 while Sanders capitalized with 22. But JOHNATHAN SMITH with 29 points and 8 rebounds, OMG. Bennett and John had 25 each as the bench combined for 49 points. Yes all three of them, lmao.

    Update
Gerald Zimmerman has been activated off the LTIR and will be joining the team in San Antonio in their game vs the Spurs

Parr will also be back but Zimmerman's return is kinda weighed way more.

Zimmerman will be played in the top 5.
Zimmerman has averaged 12.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 25.2 minutes played through 6 games played this season.

Parr will be played in the top 5.
Parr has averaged 15.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 30.6 minutes played through 21 games this season.

    EDIT:
    And it results in a...

    @ SAS W 112-78
Gerald Zimmerman played 29.2 minutes in his return. No shortage in that. Finished off with 12 points and 8 rebounds. 0 for 1 in three point shooting and 50% from FG. He was also 2 for 3 from the free throw line. Pretty decent game.

Charles Parr played 29.8 minutes in his return from a
fractured finger. 16 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. He was ELECTRIC. 1 for 6 from beyond the arc tho. But finished 7 for 13 in FG attempts and was perfect from the free throw line. A good game back for the Guard.

Well, we're pretty much halfway in and the team is still in good shape. Yea, our record and our players. We are 31-10. And things look pretty good as we have a healthy lineup. That blow to Caboclo was pretty bad as he was on FIRE. Now, Wiggins looks like he wants to be the main offensive catalyst of this team and he's pretty much taken over. Our profit has been pretty good compared to the league and I'm happy with where we stand right now.

    Update
So a small update before we go on our road trip. I've kinda scouted the league and have seen which teams could be potential suits for Brett Rickard.
    From the East we have...
Boston, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Miami, Milwaukee and New York.
And from the West we have...
Dallas, Denver, Golden State, Houston, Los Angeles C., Los Angeles L., Memphis, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio and Utah.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ROAD TRIP!
:welll, this ones gonna be fun. We're going on an 8 game road trip. Starts in the west, stays in the east and ends way west. We've got some average teams with a couple of surprises here and there. We're playing Detroit back-to-back in Auburn Hills. This one should be good.

And if we're lucky, we could see Brett Rickard on the Raptors as soon as our game in Chicago.
    We got...

Utah 28-20 3rd in Western Conference
Charlotte 28-20 T-5th in Eastern Conference
Detroit 21-27 11th in Eastern Conference

Golden State 36-11 1st in Western Conference
    On the road.

    1ST GAME
vs Utah Jazz 28-20 3rd in West
This team looks pretty good. James Scott is their best player at 67. They have Farmer at 66 and Okafor at 60. Their other two starters Adams and Muhammad are injured but are very good assets. Cauley-Stein is in his 7th year in Utah and has fit in pretty well as a 54 overall Center. Their bench is good as well. They're a team that's growing with a bunch of +'s so the future looks good in Utah.

    Injuries

    Toronto Raptors - None
Utah Jazz - Frederick Adams out 2 games with a sprained foot, Shabazz Muhammad out 4 games with a sprained knee

Great defensive game here. We outscored them 63 - 30 in the 2nd half. Caboclo led with 24 and posted a double-double as well as Sanders. Parr had 18 and the bench looked pretty good. Our defensive game was on full force as we held Okafor to only 2 points, Anderson down to 8 and WCS with 7.
James Scott led all Utah scorers with 15.

    And it results in a...

    @ UTA W 108-70

    2ND GAME
vs Charlotte Hornets 29-21 6th in East
I think we faced them in that homestand. Not gonna go crazy on this. Beal is their elite player at 70 overall. Anthony Davis is a good complementary player at 67 and they have a 65 overall Cleveland Byrd. KENNETH REES is another to watch. Their bench has some good rising youngsters on it as well.
We got killed last time, lets go get the win.

    Injuries

    Toronto Raptors - None
    Charlotte Hornets - None

Great offensive game here. We outscored them in each quarter and jumped to a great start. Caboclo led with 19 while Big Z and Sanders got 17 each. Samuel John finished with 16. Wiggins has slowed down a bit.
Beal exploded and poured in 30. Davis grabbed 14 boards and Byrd dropped 15. Rees was quiet this game.

Paul Smith also got injured so yea.

    And it results in a...

    3RD GAME
vs Detroit Pistons 21-30 12th in East
Rebuilding team that's been rebuilding for some time now. Their best player is MKG at 65 overall and youngster Adam Patrick at 64 overall. Dennis Childress is also a pretty nice youngster at 59. They still have Joel Emblid and Roland Laird completes their top 5. They've got a 58, 57, 54, 53 and 50 on the bench which makes them look good. But only 1 of them is a youngster.
They need to get more assets, we can beat them.
Brett Rickard is also currently talking with the Toronto Raptors.

    Injuries

Toronto Raptors - Paul Smith out 3 games with a sprained ankle
    Detroit Pistons - None

Damn, we lost it as the game went along. Wiggins had a double-double with 25-11-3. Sanders put up 19 but the rest of the team...
They're bench came in the clutch with 48 points. Adam Patrick was they're highest scorer with 14.. I mean EVERYONE really had to come through to get this win.

    SIGNING!
    Brett Rickard $0.50 mil over 1 year (2024) - G, 26 y/o, 62 Overall 63 Potential

Moments after the Raps loss to the Pistons, GM Maple reached out to Brett Rickard and STUNNED the league with a steal of a signing. Brett Rickard, an NBA starter goes to the powerhouse Toronto Raptors for the price of $500K for 1 year. STEEAAALLLLLLLLL. He's a Guard and we really don't need more Guards but he's better than Paul Smith. Brett Rickard will indeed be the sixth man. Paul Smith stays in the 7th spot. Brice Johnson gets boosted one. DeMar DeRozan falls all the way down the bench behind Johnson.
So with this signing, we've been eyeing pending FA Kenneth Rees from the Charlotte Hornets. And with the season he's having, the Hornets are very entertained and look like they'll try and lock him up. With the Rickard signing, there's been speculations that Paul Smith could be heading to Charlotte :eek::eek:

    4TH GAME
vs Detroit Pistons 23-30 11th in East
The last of an back-to-back vs the Pistons in Auburn Hills. They beat last game. We can't let them take control of the game. All their guys contributed and we were left in the dust.
They played a thriller vs the injured Boston Celtics while we took the day off and Adam Patrick got injured.

    Injuries

Toronto Raptors - Paul Smith out with a sprained knee
Detroit Pistons - Adam Patrick out 2 games with a sprained shoulder

4th quarter comeback. Damnnn Detroit knows how to play. It was a back and forth battle. Close game at the end of the 1st half with both teams having their quarters. Detroit took a 1 point lead heading into the 4th quarter and we EDGED them. Caboclo and Big Z with double-double's as Caboclo led with 22. The top 5 with points in double digits. Brett Rickard was pure garbage tbh. 6 assists, 3 points, 2 steals and a rebound. DeRozan however, excelled with 13 points and 2 rebounds and assists each.
Roland Laird somehow, the 50 overall posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds... Emblid had 19 and their bench was effective with 31 points.

Johnathan Smith also got injured :/

    And it results in a...

    @ DET W 107-103

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So far this road trip, we're 3-1 with a couple injures and an addition in Brett Rickard.
Honestly don't know what to talk about here. No one has been extremely good and everyone has been contributing.

So I've seen Brett Rickard's years in Boston and he was mostly used in the 7th spot. So I'm gonna go switch Paul Smith and bump Brett Rickard a spot down.
And any trades we make will be after this road trip. We can use this to see which players we don't need and make a potential trade to bring in Rees.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    5TH GAME
vs Chicago Bulls 27-27 10th in East
This team is 2 games out of 8th and is looking to make the playoffs for the 7th straight season. We faced them in our homestand and we killed them.
Ronnie Johnson is their best player. They've got youngsters Michael Wright and Johnny Knox who are good. Klay Thompson and Wayne Selden complete their top 5. Alex Len is a big force off the behc and other than that, they're decent.

    Injuries

Toronto Raptors - Johnathan Smith out 2 games with a sprained ankle
    Chicago Bulls - None

PARR WITH 31 AND 10 FOR THE DOUBLE-DOUBLE. Caboclo wen off for 29 as well. The team played soooo bad OMG. Parr and Caboclo carried us here.
AAANNDD we came back in the 4th outscoring Chicago 34 - 21.
Michael Wright scored 21 while Johnson finished with 17.

    And it results in a...

    @ CHI W 115-103

    6TH GAME
vs Boston Celtics 40-16 3rd in East
One of the best teams in the East. They're also only 1.5 games behind us. Two 69's in Marcus Smart and Fred Corrigan. Then a 64 in Michael Campos and a 63 in Don Bain. Nikola Mirotic completes their top 5 as a 52 overall power forward. Then they have 2023 draftee Derek Cox at 59... AND David Nunley at 59 yet again. Also add a weak Brandon Knight to the mix.
    This team is deadly.

    Injuries

Toronto Raptors - Johnathan Smith out with a sprained ankle
Boston Celtics - David Nunley out with rotator cuff tendinitis

Tough game here. WIGGINS WITH YET ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE. Big Z led with 17 and grabbed 8 boards. The starters did pretty well this game.
Don Bain went off for 34. Corrigan finished with a double-double. Cox grabbed 15 rebounds and Knight finished with 16 points.

    And it results in a...

    @ BOS L 97-107

    7TH GAME
vs Phoenix Suns 24-31 T-10th in West
So we head out back west. This Suns team is desperately trying to make the playoffs. They're only 1 game back. I've been watching them ever since they made they're long-awaited return to the playoffs and it looks like their time is running out. James Young is still their star as a 73 overall shooting guard. They're next highest player is Gregory Sutphin at 58. Then a couple 50's and it goes way downhill. They're 2023 1st rounder also tore his ACL...
    This team looks lifeless tbh.

    Injuries

    Toronto Raptors - None
    Phoenix Suns - None

Amazing game here. The offense went off. Wiggins and Caboclo each with 24. Rickard with 17 as the sixth man. BIG Z with 12 boards. The bench was fantastic. Smith's 7 assists led the team. It looks like DeRozan's addition to the mid of the bench has had a great affect on them.
Phoenix had all their starters with points in double-digits led by Khalif Wyatt's 16. Sutphin with a double-double.

    And it results in a...

    @ PHX W 126-91

    8TH GAME
vs Golden State Warriors 41-15 1st in West
Too bad we're not the best in the East but it's an eastern powerhouse going up against the best in the west. Golden State missed the playoffs last year with only 36 wins... this year they're going crazy and have already hit 41 wins. They've got a 76 and a 72 in William Smith and Leroy Holloway. Then a 64 in Patrick Morrow. They've got a 59 overall Tim Hardaway Jr. and then a 42 overall Tyler Richter to complete the top 5. They have a nice youngster in Albert Richey, a 24 year old 58 overall Guard. They've also got a lot of youngsters that they're still developing. This team is pretty much set for the future.

    Injuries

    Toronto Raptors - None
    Golden State Warriors - None

Damn what a tight game! Both teams went at it in each quarter. SAMUEL JOHN WITH HIS FIRST CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE. 11 REBOUNDS AND 10 POINTS. Parr with a double-double with 11 points and rebounds each. Johnathan Smith led the team with 14 points. Damn the bench looked similar to the starters.
Leroy Holloway went off with 32 points. Patrick Morrow finished with 24.

    And it results in a...

    @ GSW W 95-91
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We went 6-2 or something like that. Pretty good record. Our team is healthy and looks really good right now. Teams like Brooklyn, Golden State and Boston are making it interesting this year as they're pretty much as good as us. Should be a fun stretch run.

I've been talking with Charlotte about a possible Kenneth Rees trade and should we do this?
    Charlotte Hornets get:
    - Paul Smith - G, 25 y/o, 58 OVR, 58 POT, 26.1 MIN, 7.9 PTS, 1.5 REB, 5.5 AST, 14.7 PER
    - Edward Worrall - F, 23 y/o, 51 OVR, 57 POT, 7.7 MIN, 2.3 PTS, 1.5 REB, 0.2 AST, 11.1 PER

    Toronto Raptors get:

    - Kenneth Rees - SG, 24 y/o, 63 OVR, 67 POT, 28.2 MIN, 13.6 PTS, 4.4 REB, 3.7 AST, 17.3 PER
    - Thomas Fulk - C, 20 y/o, 41 OVR, 42 POT, 13.0 MIN, 2.8 PTS, 3.5 REB, 0.0 AST, 9.9 PER

    - 2024 2nd round pick (CHA)

    Yes and No
Willing: Charlotte is okay with parting with Kenneth Rees here. They also express some interest in Worrall.
Added: I wanted a pick so I added a 2nd and because I added that, Charlotte added Worrall to the mix. We had cap problems so then I added Fulk who isn't much of a loss for Charlotte. Should be okay.

    Contracts, Projections and Desired Contracts
    Charlotte Hornets:
    Paul Smith - Contract: $2.70 mil thru 2025 (2 years) - Desired Contract: $8.25 mil thru 2027
    Edward Worrall - Contract: $0.50 mil thru 2026 (3 years) - Desired Contract: $2.45 mil thru 2028

    Toronto Raptors:
Kenneth Rees - Contract: $2.20 mil thru 2024 (ends this year) - Desired Contract: $8.80 mil thru 2027
    Thomas Fulk - Contract: $0.50 mil thru 2025 (2 years) - Desired Contract: $0.50 mil thru 2026
    2024 2nd round pick (CHA) Projected 50th-55th

Brett Rickard is playing a lot of minutes and if Kenneth Rees comes in, the minutes will even out. After next year, Paul Smith will probably ask for a bigger contract and I want to lock up a Guard quick. If we can get Rees and lock him down this summer, that'd be pretty good. Plus we get a Center which we do need. Fulk has some nice aspects and he might be something decent. I don't know if they're willing to give up the 2nd but the 2024 draft looks pretty good compared to the other ones. We also save up $0.50 mil in cap space.

So should we do this? Rees could be slotted into our sixth man spot easily. We could also toss in our 2026 2nd rounder as I'm actually looking to get rid of that.

    TRADE ALERT!
    TORONTO RAPTORS:
    Kenneth Rees - SG, 24 y/o, 63 Overall 67 Potential, $2.20 mil thru 2024
    Thomas Fulk - C, 20 y/o, 41 Overall 42 Potential, $0.50 mil thru 2025

    CHARLOTTE HORNETS:
    Paul Smith - G, 25 y/o, 58 Overall 58 Potential, $2.70 mil thru 2025
    Edward Worrall - F, 23 y/o, 51 Overall 57 Potential, $0.50 mil thru 2026

So, we couldn't get a pick out of it and we couldn't trade away one of our crapy picks. At least we save up $0.50 mil and we get younger. FINALLY, KENNETH REES. Reese boy.

Reese will go into the sixth man position. Thomas Fulk will go straight to the bottom. He's been worked up in Charlotte, he needs a breather.
As for Charlotte, Andres Panek will now be playing with the guy we traded him for, Paul Smith.

    INJURY UPDATE
Going into game #59 vs the Charlotte Hornets...

Gregory Sanders out 23 games with a herniated disc

In a game vs the leagues #1 Brooklyn Nets, we KILLED them but it came at a hefty price. Gregory Sanders left only playing 14 minutes with 2 points, rebounds and steals each. Nevertheless, it was an amazing performance by the team, especially Wiggins. But 23 games... will probably cut into the playoffs :/

    EDIT: @ CHA W 109-97

Great effort from the team here. Caboclo, Parr and Rickard all with a team-high 15 points. The TEAM really came through in this one.

We're about 3/4th's of the way through the season and the Raptors look good. Yet again we're one of the top teams with a 45-15 record. Yea it's a bit worse than the previous 7 or so years but I guess we've hit a bit of a bump and in this case, it would be the injury bug. I've actually rechecked and it looks like Sanders will be back for game 1 of the first round. My bad :/

We are also currently in the hardest division as all 5 teams in the Atlantic are in playoff spots. Philly being the 5th one with the 8th seed.

So our profit has dipped a bit in the past couple of games. We need to find chemistry with Rees and we need to keep going. We lost Smith but the addition of Rees and Rickard makes this team the clear Championship favourites.
But we need a healthy team to do this.

    INJURY UPDATE
Going into game #66 vs the Denver Nuggets...

Charles Parr out 7 games with patellar tendinitis
Gregory Sanders out 16 games with a herniated disc

WELL then... In a blowout victory vs the Clippers, Parr only played about half his minutes and had 7 points. He came down with patellar tendinitis and will miss about 2 weeks.

We beat an easy team but OMG that offense. ANDREW WIGGINS WENT OFF FOR 42 POINTS WITH 12 BOARDS. Just OMG. Caboclo helped out with 16. WOW WIGGINS!

Going into game #68 vs the Minnesota Timberwolves...

Charles Parr out 5 games with patellar tendinitis
Gregory Sanders out 14 games with a herniated disc
Kenneth Rees out 8 games with patellar tendinitis

Well there goes our sixth man... In a tight win vs the Wizards, Kenneth Rees came down with patellar tendinitis. He played 25.6 minutes and posted a doubl-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He also dished out 3 assists. He's gonna be out for 2 weeks as well.

    INJURY UPDATE
Going into game #74 vs the Sacramento Kings...

Gregory Sanders out 8 games with a herniated disc
Kenneth Rees out 2 games with patellar tendinitis
David Bennett out 13 games with a sprained knee

And this one will go into the playoffs... David Bennett a good 8.7 minutes in a blowout loss to the Knicks. He finished the night with 2 points, 2 assists and a turnover. Honestly, the most he plays is 10 minutes per game and he's missed about 10 games due to injury.

    EDIT:
    vs SAC W 87-73

Caboclo and Zimmerman with double-double's. Wiggins led with 18 points and that was good enough to seal the deal.
