What do you guys think of anything and everything relating to this new GM Mode?
It's a cool change! You usually do teams that are rebuilding, but Minnesota is neither rebuilding or a real contender, so it will be interesting to see what GM Superbman will do!
I know wild need to retool.
top six forward line was not okay and bottom six forward has a great depth. Defenseman core was pretty good. Wild prospect is not much. In 2016 NHL draft pick, wild need a playmaker, two-way defenseman and sniper to replace m.koivu, parise, ryan suter and jason pominville
My answer is m.koivu, parise, ryan suter and jason pominville should retire as Minnesota wild but how will their cap space will hurt their young player potential forward and defenseman next 10 years gm
The player of 2016 NHL draft of Minnesota wild to keep eye on:
right wing Julian Gauthier power forward 5 red star
goalie franzreb a franchise hybrid 4.5 gold star
center Nathan noel a low franchise playmaker 4.5 red star
left wing Vladimir tkachev 4 gold star playmaker
center Austin matthew 5 gold star playmaker
center p.dubios 5 green high franchise two-way forward
offense defenseman jake bean 4 green star
two way defenseman jakob chychrun 4.5 gold star
left wing power forward Fabian haberstich 4 gold star
two way defenseman sean day 4.5 red star
I hope gm MINNESOTA MIRACLE MAN will lead to playoffs again and keep eye on the cap space next ten years. get top 2 right hand defenseman and 2nd right wing playmaker. Don't trade your draft pick. There is ton of 2016 franchise draft players to search
Well he did Ottawa
Legacy or GTFO I'm seriously excited for this and I hope it goes better than Buffalo.
He has a rule where he can't get rid of Suter and Parise until their contracts run out.
Eriksson Ek could probably receive a potential boost as he is a legitimate prospect.
Since you have seven forwards for the top 6, I would recommend trading one of them to try to acquire a good prospect or a good top 2 defender. You don't need Pomminville or Koivu, so I'd trade one of them, probably Koivu since Granlund and Coyle both play center.
However, Koivu could be a valuable leader and two way player for the team, so it might make more sense to move out Pominville, as Coyle can also be a RW. Pominville isn't really needed as much, but you won't be able to get as much for him as you could for Koivu.
Either way, I would suggest to go after a top 2 defender as your main priority, and then worry about stocking up on picks/prospects in order to fill out your team for the future.
Some people may think these are biased ratings but whatever
Derick Brassard should be 87/88
Zuccarello should be 88
Drop Girardi to 84/85
Drop M. Staal to 86
You cannot trade koivu. He is the leader of this team almost ever since it was created. He holds most team records and doesn't deserve to be shipped out unlike a guy like granlund who has good trade value and has been a huge bust since he was drafted. Trading granlund and a lower prospect for a older top 2 DMAN would make the wild a whole lot better quicker and possibly finally beat Chicago
Here is some Bruins players you need to edit
Bergeron: 93 is fine
Marchand: 89 is fine
Eriksson: 87 is fine
Spooner: 85 is fine
Beleskey: again 85
Seidenberg: lower to 79 (he really needs it)
Stempniak: 85 is fine
Irwin: lower to 78
Pastrnak: 84 is fine (make potential 4.5 gold)
JML: 83 is fine
Trotman: 82 is fine
Gustavsson: 82 is fine
Ferraro: 81 is fine
Connolly: 81 is fine
Morrow: 80 is fine
Vatrano: 81 is fine (potential to 4 gold rather than 2.5 green)(make him a sniper he has 34 goals in 34 games this season in the AHL)
C.Miller: 82 is fine (potential to 4 green rather than 2.5 green)(change him to an offensive defenceman)
Accari: 75 is fine (change him from a sniper to a TWF)
Czarnik: 75 is fine (make 4 gold)
Ferlin: 75 is fine (make 3 green)
Hargrove: 73 is fine
Casto: 70 is fine
And McIntyre change to 4 gold
That should be it from me
Also prosser deserves a overall drop while mike Reilly deserves a raise
Just going to point out a few things for Dallas:
Tyler Seguin - Sniper
Jamie Benn - playmaker
Lehtonen and Nemo both need to be 85 overall
Jordie Benn does get a lot of games, but believe me, he's trash. 77 overall max for him. Boost Oleksiak to 81 with 4 gold and Nemeth to 80 with 4 gold or 3.5 green. Both are solid and consistent defensive D whereas Jordie can't do shit.
Johnny Oduya needs to be a top-4 defenseman with a spiked defensive category, probably 87s or 88s down the board. Game in and game out he is nothing but consistent and amazing
Make Mattias Janmark an 81 PLY with an average defensive category and 84 passing and offensive awareness with 3.5 gold star potential. He's been stellar this season and needs a bump.
Eriksson Ek and Strome need a boost in potential.
Sens player boosts:
Zack Smith 84/83
MacArthur should be 83/83
Methot an 85
I understand that it is easier to see statistics and all that stuff on legacy, but legacy doesn't have player morale. Player morale makes the series more enjoyable by giving certain players character. However, I respect your decision and I will still watch this gm mode series.
A few suggestions for player potentials.
1. Make Haula 84 overall. This guy has been great for us and is a high end third line player.
2. Make Mike Rielly top4-6 potential. He's been playing great with Dumba.
3. Lower Granlunds potential. He's a huge bust. Maybe a career 2nd liner at best.
Thank god someone is finally here to lead the wild to glory! Johnny your first act as GM needs to be hiring me back as coach and getting this Torchetti goof out of here. Also, Haula and Coyle have been tearing it up this year so maybe they deserve a potential/rating boost. You need to trade a top 6 forward, but it shouldn't be Koivu since he is the tenured captain and needs to win a cup in Minnesota.
First and foremost. CHARLIE COYLE. Needs to have his potential increased. Not in star value, just in colour. Guys been doing great this year and deserves more recognition
Devan Dubnyk also could use a overall increase. Kemper can stay where he is really.
De La Rose needs at least 4 star potential on Montreal.
I know that but how it will effect to young player salary cap space in next 10 years.
I was write about what Minnesota wild need to find good scout players.
