We have a trade to annouce:

    San Jose trades: David Schelmko
    High Ahl top 2 defensemen

Anaheim trades: Jacob Larson( med top 6)

I did this trade because Norco Mueller is a 81 and is listed as a top 6 d man and I want him to grow since he has top 4 potential and is only 21

    Year 1 starting lineup:
    L. Coutoure - J. Thornton - J. Pavelski
    P. Marleau - T. Hertl - M. Boeser
    J. Donskoi - M. Karlsson - J. Ward
    C. Tierney - N. Spaling - T. Wingels

    M. Vlasic - B. Burns
    P. Martin - J. Braun
    B. Dillon - M. Mueller

    M. Jones
    J. Ortio

I sent down Matt Nieto, because Tierney was a better overall and is younger and I signed Ortio as a backup since the next goalie in our system is a 73. Time to start the season

    Tsn update:
There have been reports that Mikkel Boedker and San Jose head coach Peter Deboer have been fighting over Boedker's lack of performance since coming to San Jose. Boedker currently has 7-17-24 in 51 games and is a -9 and is playing on a line with Hertl and Marleau and it has been discussed that Boedker could be traded if his performance dosnt increase by the trade deadline, stay tuned for more info

    Trade breaker:

    San Jose trades:
    M.Boedker (86) med top 6
    N.Jevpalovs (68) low Ahl top 6

    Boston trades:
    B.Marchand (87)

Now Gm Jacklin is on our show to dicuss the trade.

Craig: hey Jordan, what does it feel like aquiring Marchand.

Gm Jacklin: It feel great, Brad has had a poor year on a mediocre Boston team, and we thought of a deal that would send 2 struggling wingers, but I believe we got the better end of the deal.

Craig: Where do you plan on putting Marchand in your lineup?

Gm Jacklin: Right where Mikkel used to be, Marchand now can really help Hertl develop in a strong top 6 playmaker and maybe even first liner and can help get Marleau to play glimpse of his former self and I think our plan is staring to be set.

Craig: San Jose has struggled offensivly this season, so do you believe this trade will spark the offense to the powerhouse it was known to be a few years ago?

Gm Jacklin: I believe that our offense will gradually get better as these guys have to learn each other game, but once the chemistry sets in, we will be ready for the playoffs.

Craig: Congratulations for the trade Jordan.

    Gm Jacklin: Thanks

    San Jose stats since trades:
Before the season started, I trade away 82 overall defensemen David Schelmko to Anaheim and a Ahl top 6 forward for defensemne Jacob Larsson to make room for Mueller.

    With Anaheim:
    David Schelmko (82): 3-8-11 -26 in 82 games

Now Jacob Larsson played in swedan and the other player who I forgot the name of Is in junior so I can't see there stats.

I made a big trade in the begging of February. Boston offered me Marchand for Boedker and a Ahl top 6 forward. I accepted it because both players where struggling this year, now let's look at there stats before and after.

    With San Jose:
    Mikkel Boedker (86): 7-17-24 -11 in 51 games

    With Boston:
Mikkel Boedker (86): 8-12-20 -7 in 39 games with Boston

Ya, not impressive. Now let's look at Brad Marchand.

    With Boston:
Brad Marchand (87): 14-16-30 -30 in 54 games with Boston.

    With San Jose:
Brad Marchand (87): 10-14-24 +6 in 30 games with San Jose.

Yes that's a steal to me for San Jose.

Now it's playoff time, The San Jose Sharks will be facing the Winnipeg Jets in round 1 of the playoffs I will do a full breakdown in the next thread. Get ready.

Finally guys it's time for the playoffs, I have had a very busy week but Gm Jacklin is read to take his team in to the playoffs and we start off against the Winnipeg Jets. Now I'm going to start off by giving you info on the Winnipeg Jets, but just brief info.

    Winnipeg Jets:
Regular season: 43-34-5 (15th In Nhl)

    Top 3 scorers:
    M.Scheifele (87): 28-44-72 in 82 games
    B.Wheeler (89): 29-41-70 in 82 games
    B.Little (87) 17-53-70 in 82 games

    Winnipeg Jets lineup:
    N.Ehlers (85)-M.Scheifele (87)-B.Wheeler (89)
    M.Perraeult (84)-B.Little (87)-D.Stafford (85)
    S.Matthias (83)-A.Lowry (85)-M.Dano (82)
    J.Armia (81)-C.Thorburn (82)-Q.Howden (82)

    T.Myers (87)-D.Byfuglien (92)
    M.Stuart (84)-J.Trouba (86)
    T.Enstrom (84)-L.Schenn (84)

    O.Pavelec (84)
    C.Hellebuyck (83)

    Sportsnet matchup thoughts:
Well, Winnipeg has a pretty decent center core, but they lack the superstar players that are on our team, Burns and Byfuglien are around the same, but Vlasic definitely out classes Myers, but after that they have depth. Goaltending wise, we destroy them, Pavelec I an aging goalie who isn't a fit enough number 1 any more and Hellebuyck is only 23 and still has to grow so I believe Sna Jose cna win this series, but we never know.

    R.Scuderi (82)-M.Greene (83)

    J.Quick (93)
    P.Budaj (80)

*injurys will be on for the remainder of the postseason

    Tsn Matchup thoughts:
LA has that franchise center in Anze who already has won 2 cups with the team and there Team hasn't relaly changed since then, but Sna Jose has and they have a really good center core with Kopitar Carter Shore and Andreoff, but there second line right winger jn Purcell is a little weak so San Jose has ti take full advantage. Defensivly, Doughty will eb tye best d man, but San jose has a better top 2 with Burns and Vlasic since Vlasic is better then Muzzle, thy do ahve a good Defensive core, but San Jose just has a little edge and is looking to take advantage of taht. Finally Quick definitely is better them Martin Jones, but I believe this could be a 7 game series and it's winner takes all.
