If you really think about it, 5 years for a guy who's going to be 29 next year isn't bad at all. 17.2 isn't all that bad either TBH

Source: Chapman deal includes three-year opt-out, full no-trade for first three years, limited no-trade for final two.

Per @MarlyRiveraESPN, Chapman deal also stipulates that he cannot be sent to a team in California.

Matt Holliday has a partial no trade clause in his contract. He cannot be traded to the Athletics.

"Why the Yankees will regret signing Chapman" Because they wanted their ace from last year back because he did very well for them? ESPN is such a joke who only care about politics, Colin Kaepernick, and the worst sport of all-time, basketball. Sorry for the rant, and posting it on the Yankees fan forum. I got triggered from that headline on ESPoliticsN.

Maybe if we signed him to an 8 year contract, yeah the Yankees will regret that, but in 5 years he'll still be in his prime. It's not like we signed him to a Jacoby Ellsbury contract (-___-)

In a few years, maybe Chapman's velocity starts to drop, but he should still be a great closer. And if he doesn't work out for us we can always trade him after his first three seasons are over.

8/8 g8 m8. Except the Matt Holliday deal. Another has-been who will get a couple of home runs, but will strike out more often.

Besides Gleyber Torres and Clint Frazier, which Yankees prospect looks like he has the most potential?
