Your AHL team doesn't have enough forwards, they have 3 D-men on the bottom 3, including Leblanc. That might mess with his growth.

Did anyone else notice that Mackenzie Savard played on the Niagra Ice Dogs, the same team Brandon Hope played on? Maybe it's a sign..

Could you make sure your defense prospects are playing in the AHL (the eligible ones)? They wont develop otherwise. Also, could you check that Mann-Dixon goalie for Detroit, if his first name is Blade then I know him in real life.

I'm starting year 3 doing a parallel GM mode and I'm definitely seeing the lack of growth between Hoffman and Stone. Entering year three for me, Hoffman is at an 85 while Stone is at an 84. Stone can be a killer third liner (akin to Perlini in Arizona), but he isn't going to grow into a natural second line player.

Finding a dedicated second liner wouldn't be a bad idea (85-86 OVR).

You should try to get a top 4 D that has 1 year left, u want to be able to be in the playoff and the defensive core is really important in this game.

Dadanov is too young to be able to play the AHL, so for him it is either CHL or NHL

Man... What is the point in asking for our opinion if you are just going to make up excuses to ignore it? The whole point of the website was to make it interactive and so the GM modes would feel like a community project where we win or lose based on the opinion of the majority. If a vote has say 500 opinions and you ignore all of those, its a slap in the face to the whole process. You could've just said you wanted this to be a draft built team. You could've said you wanted to tank for Zod :zod. I am sure everyone would've accepted you signing just one of these guys. You're the best in the business at the NHL series because you engage your fans and make storylines. They were fantastic in the Arizona :arzseries. Just don't try to use them against us by making up stipulations to ignore our opinions.

    -Stay classy Superbians

The city of Ottawa will be razed if you don't draft ZOD next draft. Trade stone and/or Hoffman to get him, we don't care.

Johnny, the real reason why the sens aren't a cap team is because Melnyk is trying to save up money for when the young players start becoming better and demand the big bucks after that. He doesn't want the disaster the Blackhawks became after the 2010 cup run trading away Niemi, Byfuglien, Ladd, Versteeg, etc. which caused them to become slightly mediocre after two seasons losing to both Vancouver and Phoenix in the first round. In my opinion, some young guns in your Ottawa GM mode are slightly underated compared to real life. So why not trade some of them and get players that can develop well or players that can make an impact right away.

Johnny, put Cody Ceci on the first line to play along side of Karlsson on the first month to see if he is doing good because if you want to grow him and want him to get more points, he should be playing on the Top 2 not Top 4.

The best thing to do with Dadonov, is let him play in the minors for this year and next year give him a season in the AHL, and if your top-6 gets injuries play him there, otherwise just keep him in the AHL.

You have to keep Lehner. He is essential to the team. Sign a defensemen that is an 85 overall and in his mid to late 20's.

    Ceci on the top 2.

Keep an eye on Mikael Wikstrand in your AHL team as well, usually gets to being a 80-83 player around year 3/4 despite only having 3 Yellow Stars.

You didn't put your team in a position to win the cup or go deep into the playoffs at all. Honestly, I don't think your team will do well at all. Your team really won't be that much better in the future. If things turn out bad this year, start tanking because your team is not cup worthy with the players and prospects you have right now.
Also, your realism is start to drive me crazy. You can't just make yourself a letter saying that you have a budget of only 67 mil. You totally ignored everyone's suggestions. I am still going to watch this series but people might stop watching.
