First before I start this review I would like to thank @UnwrittenSnow0 for requesting this review :)

    Ilya Samsonov:

Samsnonov was selected 22nd overall in 2015 NHL draft. You can instantly tell this kid is quite something if he got selected 22nd overall as a goalie, which is a hard thing to do.

    Stats:
2014-15 Magnitogorsk Metallurg KHL 1 GP 21 Minutes on ice and 2 GA
2015-16 Magnitogorsk Metallurg KHL 19 GP 6-4-3 Record

    Background of the player
Samsnov was born February 22nd(19 years old) in 1997.
Samsnov weighs 203 pounds and is 6'4

Predictions: I see Samsonov becoming a full time starter for the capitals in a few years when Holtby retires. I think Samsonov is going to have a great career with the Capitals.

Next up: Ethan Bear - Edmonton Oilers

Sorry about the lack of information. Its harder for the goalies.

Heres my list of next reviews

    Ethan Bear - Edmonton Oilers
    Mikhail Sergachev - Montreal Canadians

Feel free to suggest more :)

Goalie draft position is meaning less and less. Just look at Jack Campbell vs. Petr Mrazek.

Agreed. He was drafted very high for a goalie though

    I just disagree with this.
I think that he could be, but it's far from guaranteed. That's why I like the Stars taking a goalie late every year. We have 4 or 5 players that could be an NHL Goalie one day. Not all of them will, but they can. It's a much better approach.

Sorry about the wait guys. On vacation currently but I'll try and get Bear and maybe Sergachev done as well. Any other suggestions?

Samsonov is gonna be a great goalie. I don't know what the Caps will do if Samsonov develops and Holtby continues to dominate... Goalie problem right there

Holtby is 26, and goalies can play at their top level until they're 36+ (look at what lundqvist, belfour, hasek and many other have done!) and holtby is locked in til he is 32 at the least, and I don't see the Capitals releasing him to the FA pool anyways. It's gonna be really hard for Samsonov to get a spot on this team unfortunately
