January Week 3, 1999
Live from the Compaq Center in Houston, TX

It's the soul of me

ashes see me laying face down
What has caught the thorn.....IN YOUR EYE!
Introductory Segment: DX introduces the new WWF Champion, Mankind
DX comes out on stage to the roar of the crowd, and what a way to kick of RAW! Road Dogg introduces the new WWF Champion, Mankind. "Ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, children of all ages, Degeneration X, and the World Wrestling Federation proudly brings to you....it's *the crowd chants Tag Team Champions of the world.* No, no....Heavyweight Champion of the Wooooorrrrrrrrld....MANKIND!" Mankind comes out and can you listen to the standing ovation for this man?! Billy Gunn says, "Of course, if you're not down with Mankind, we've got 1 word for ya....SOCKO!"
Mankind heads down to the ring. Mankind says it's about **** time he got some new entrance music. Mankind asks if anyone else other than him notices that ever clip in his entrance video that he's getting his arse kicked. Mankind says it's alright because it's the story of his life and everybody knows that Mick Foley takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Mankind says last week was without a doubt, the greatest moment in his 15-year career, but he didn't get there by himself. Mankind says he'd like to tell just a little story about for 10 or 11 years that once a year, he would call the World Wrestling Federation, and he would offer his wrestling services....but they would never return his phone call. The word that he got years later is that Mick Foley did not look like a star. Mick Foley says what he would like to do is thank one person who knew that Mick Foley was a star, and that is Jim Ross. Mankind says upon further review of the video tape, he realized that he didn't exactly win the WWF Title on his own....so he would also like to thank DX for watching his back, especially the guy from the crowd who had intercepted Test last week. Mankind says there's another person he would like to thank, and he believes he's from the State of Texas. Mankind says he knows he's a little shy, but he hope he doesn't mind him saying "Thank you Stone Cold Steve Austin!". Mankind says he guess that he owes Austin one....because he realizes the name of this PPV as The Corporation calls it as "No Chance In Hell", he's here to say "Steve-O", that as long as there is a Mankind in the world, you've got one chance in hell. Mankind says he understands that everyone believe he achieved his dream last week, but there is one last dream in the life of Mick Foley....and that is to main event the biggest wrestling show in the world....Wrestlemania. Mankind says as far as he's concerned, a Wrestlemania is just not a Wrestlemania without Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event. Mankind publicly states that there is nothing he would like better than to wrestle Steve Austin at Wrestlemania. Not because he don't like him, but because when he thinks about the possibilities, it makes his skin break out, and he can guarantee that Mankind and Stone Cold will tear the house down at Wrestlemania.
"Do you smell what The Rock is cookin'?" and The Rock hits the stage sporting his sunglasses and his $500 shirt alongside Vince and Shane McMahon. Shane says that Mankind is a disgrace to the World Wrestling Federation Title, a disgrace! Shane says that Mankind has seem to acquire a lot of fans here of late. Not just in the arena, but all across the world. Even Degeneration X has befriended Mankind. Shane says that there is nothing The Corporation can do about the fans in the arenas, and there is nothing The Corporation can do about the millions watching at home....but there is one thing The corporation can do about his buddies, Degeneration X....and so tonight, with his father's permission of course, tonight not only will Degeneration X not only be in that ring in singles competition, oh no....but get this because his Pops has outdone himself on this one. Tonight, in that very ring, Vinny Mac has ordered an every man for himself Over-the-top-rope Corporate Royal Rumble to take place in that very ring, where the members of Degeneration X take on The Corporation with the grand prize being the #30 entrant in the Royal Rumble. Shane also turns his attention to the hooded man from last night on Sunday Night Heat, who grabbed him by the collar (Ghis Sonny). Shane says how dare he lay his hand on him when he doesn't even work for this company! Shane says he and his pops have something in store for him ever he ever sets foot in a WWF arena ever again. Shane says he has no problem confronting him if he has the guts to show his face around here. Shane says he thinks The Rock is about to lay the Smackdown on Mankind and hands him the mic.
The Rock says Mankind comes out here and he runs his mouth like he's a big shot, like he's The Rock, but obviously he's not. The fans chant "Rocky Sucks!". The Rock says Mankind never ever beat The Rock for The Rock's WWF Title. The Rock says Mankind's celluloid arse had to get help from the biggest piece of Texas trailer park trash walking God's green Earth....in that bald-headed jabroni, Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock says that Stone Cold's day is gonna come where it's gonna be The Rattlesnake and The Brahma Bull, and The Rock is gonna lay the Smackdown on his candy arse like he's never felt before. The Rock says as Mankind stands in the middle of The Rock's ring with The Rock's WWF Title, it makes him sick because he's not worthy of being a World Champ. The Rock says Mankind sits in there and his entire clothing outfit costs about 8 cents, but what happened is it looks like a big monkey walked down this ramp, got into the middle of the ring, took a crap, and out came Mankind. The Rock says these people want The Rock as the WWF Champ. *crowd boos*. These people need The Rock as their WWF Champ. *crowd boos*. They want a man who's intelligent, they want a man who's articulate, and they want a man who's pretty **** good looking on top of all that. The Rock says that the millions....and by God, the millions of The Rock's fans want The Rock their WWF Champ. The Rock says the least Mankind's unworthy arse can do is give The Rock what is rightfully his, and that's a shot at the WWF Title, Royal Rumble 1999.
Mankind says The Rock is right about a lot of things, but he's already beaten his *** twice. There's no 3rd try here and The Rock is simply not championship material. The Rock says he's not done. Not only will it be a WWF Title match, but it will also be a No Disqualification Match as well. Mankind says he smells what The Rock is cookin', but it doesn't smell all that good because they've already been there and already done that. Mankind says he's going to have to take a pass on that one. The Rock says to hold on because he's not done. Not only will it be No Disqualification, but No Count Out as well. Mankind says "No Disqualification, no countout....No thank you Rock, not good enough for me!" The Rock takes his sunglasses off, tucks them on his shirt and tells Mankind to hang on a second because he's not done. The Rock tells Mankind to know his role and shut his mouth! Not only will it be No DQ and No Count Out, but The Rock guaran****tees that not one member of Team Corporate will be around the ringside. Mankind says he thinks he ought know what The Rock wants to do, and that is to check his own self into the Smackdown Hotel, and walk his monkey *** down the corner of Know Your Role Boulevard and Jabroni Drive because The Rock gets no Title shot! The Rock doesn't know where to look! The Rock says Mankind wants to act like a big shot, be The Great One, and be the most electrifying man in sports entertainment today like The Rock, what Mankind should do is reach in there, take out that little sock, put it on his little hand, and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Mankind asks if The Rock is questioning his guts and his testicular fortitude. Mankind says what he will do is one day, he will reach in and pull out Mr. Socko and he will stick him in a place where the sun doesn't shine, and he'll get a pretty good idea of what The Rock is cookin'. The Rock says that this is ridiculous and obviously The Rock quits in trying to get his monkey ***. Mankind yells "I accept!". The Rock asks Mankind what the idiot accepts. Mankind says he accept the match The Rock just proposed. It's a stroke of brilliance. Mankind vs The Rock at the Royal Rumble....in an I Quit Match! Mankind says since The Rock is so big on stipulations, he has a couple. There will be no disqualification, no countout, no Corporate members at ringside, and no stopping the match for excessive blood loss....because mark his words, at the Royal Rumble, there will be excessive blood loss, and he's not going to let The Rock get off easy. There will be no knockouts, because if there is, he's going to wake him back up to knock him back down again. It may be an I Quit Match, but he's not going to use submission holds. What he is going to do very simply is beat the living hell out of The Rock until he can't take it anymore, and The Rock will look up at him with that ridiculous eyebrow, and he says the two magic words, "I quit!"
Mr. McMahon says now that we have established that The Rock is the #1 contender at the Royal Rumble for the WWF Championship, what makes Mankind think he'll be the champion in less than 2 weeks time.....because tonight, in that ring, Mankind will defend the WWF Championship and by God tonight, he will defend it tonight against Kane! Mankind tells Vince to remember that he is the WWF Champion and until he's not, "If you smellelelelelel WHAT THE SOCK IS COOKIN'!"

Undertaker says down in a grave, as it would be his final resting place, filling it with the Earth's rotting soil, they tried to destroy him, wishing he would just go away, but what is it? What had been really done? The simple minds of mortal men, they sent him back to a place that is his origin. The more they try to destroy him, the powerful he's become, and now he's risen from his Earthy grave, and now he will slay the ones he once saved. The reckoning is upon us, the day that the Ministry Of Darkness seizes the land, destroys that you all hold dear. Make playthings of your heroes, and devour your innocence. Undertaker says the plague of darkness has come, and all encompassing evil for which there is no escape, no mercy, no hope. It's called the future, and in the future, he will look down upon them and he will decide whether they are an agent of darkness, or are they just mere kindling for his fires. and relish in the unearthly delight that pain has to offer. Resist, and there are no limits to the torment that they subject themselves to. Big Boss Man tries to eliminate Billy Gunn, but he hangs onto the ropes as the clock counts down to the next entrant of this Corporate Royal Rumble, and the next entrant is revealed to be Test. Big Boss Man and Test double team Billy Gunn. Usually, it's every man for himself in this type of contest, but it looks like The Corporate Team is going to stick together. The clock counts down once again and X-Pac is the next entrant. X-Pac wastes very little time in helping out fellow DX member, Billy Gunn. The odds are even now. X-Pac fights the Big Boss Man and Billy Gunn fights Test. Test reverses an Irish whip from Billy Gunn, goes for a hip toss. Billy Gunn attempts to reverse it, but Test reverses his reversal and hip tosses Billy Gunn over-the-top rope (Elimination #2). Now it's 2-on-1 again as the odds are once again back in The Corporate Team's favor. Test hits a gutwrench powerbomb on X-Pac. The clock counts down to reveal the next entrant. Road Dogg makes his way down to the ring and the odds are once again even at 2-on-2. Road Dogg hammering away on Test while X-Pac fight Boss Man. X-Pac is in trouble in the corner with the Boss Man trying to eliminate him. Road Dogg stops that from happening though. The clock counts down again to reveal the next entrant in the Corporate Royal Rumble. The lights go out, Kane's music plays and here he walks out through hellfire and brimstone. I think it's fair to say DX is a bit outnumbered now. Kane grabs Road Dogg and rams him into a corner. Kane now taking it to the Road Dogg. Kane eliminates the Road Dogg with a clothesline, sending him over the ropes (Elimination #3). X-Pac sure is resilient, but I don't think he stands a chance here. Kane hammers away on X-Pac as the clock counts down.....and here comes Triple H! HHH gets into a brawl with Test, but is grabbed from behind by Kane. Kane holds HHH as Test attempts to hit HHH. HHH ducks and Test accidentally hits Kane instead. Kane grabs Test and tosses him out of the ring! So much for Corporate unity! (Elimination #4). Big Boss Man eliminates X-Pac next (Elimination #6). HHH and Big Boss Man fight each other. One of these 2 men will be # 30 in the Rumble. HHH Irish whips Boss Man and hits him with a back-elbow. HHH tries to eliminate Big Boss Man, but he hangs on. The buzzer sounds, but there was no count down! Who's the surprise entrant? Well, well, well....it's Vince McMahon. Vince walks down to the ring with purpose with Brisco and Patterson in tow. HHH invites Vince to get into the ring, but Big Boss Man attacks him from behind. Big Boss Man tries to eliminate HHH. Vince gets into the ring and eliminates both Big Boss Man and Triple H. (Eliminations #7 & #8) Mr. McMahon has won the Corporate Rumble! Mr. McMahon has pulled a fast one. Mr. McMahon is #30! Vince rips off his shirt Hulk Hogan style to celebrate the victory. The buzzer goes off again and wait a minute, that's Chyna! Vince is in disbelief! Brisco and Patterson try to stop her from entering, but she levels them both at ringside. *Glass shatters* BAH GAWD! IT'S STONE COLD, IT'S STONE COLD! Business is about to pick up! Stone Cold climbs up onto the apron to distract Vince while Chyna sneaks up from behind and eliminates him (Elimination #9). Chyna has won the Corporate Royal Rumble! Chyna will be the #30 entrant at the Royal Rumble! Austin taunts McMahon, who is down on the ground meanwhile Chyna celebrates in the ring as the show goes off the air.
RAW's rating this week: B(77). The general feeling is that WWF don't have enough interesting storylines going on. This show increased popularity in 3 regions. This show lost popularity in 11 regions.
Clayton will rise

SuNDAY NiGHT HeAT
January Week 3, 1999
Live from the Montagne Center in Beaumont, TX
Introductory Segment: The Corporation cuts a promo
The Corporation makes their way down to the ring to open up Sunday Night Heat. Vince McMahon says he came here tonight to apologize. He's man enough to admit when he made a mistake and he's come here to apologize. He attempted last week to apologize to Shawn Michaels, but he was unable physically to be there. He tried to apologize to Michaels' manager on record, Jose Lothario, and he didn't want to listen. Vince says he assures the individual he's about to introduce will indeed accept his apology. Vince says it is his pleasure to introduce the most electrifying man in sports entertainment today. He is the next WWF Champion. He is The Rock! The Rock makes his way down to the ring sporting his sunglasses and his $500 shirt. The Rock shakes McMahon's hand and gives him a hug.
Vince says that he wants to apologize to The Rock for last Monday Night....because he should have never ever made that match between Kane and Mankind for the WWF Title. The Rock says first and foremost....*crowd chants Rocky Sucks!*....The Rock accepts his apology, but The Rock's just gotta ask one question. What was Vince thinking putting that big ******** goof that doesn't come any more ******** than that right there (Rock pointing at Kane). The Rock tells Kane he better know his **** role before him and Vince send him back to that **** nutbar. The Rock says on top of all that to look at him, he's an idiot. He's 7-feet, pure idiot, put his brain in a parakeet, ZING! Fly backwards! Vince addresses Mankind and says tomorrow night, a non-title match, it will not be for the WWF Title, Mankind will tomorrow night will go one-on-one with the law and order here in the World Wrestling Federation, The Big Bossman. Vince says he assures that tomorrow night, Mankind will be serving "Hard Time". Vince turns his attention to "The World's Most Dangerous Man", Ken Shamrock and says he has a little present for him. The Rumble is one week away from tonight, and Shamrock's got the week off to train. But unfortunately, his opponent, Billy Gunn tomorrow night must pass the "Test". However as far as more current events are concerned, he would like to make mention of 2 people. One being the man who has been a thorn in The Corporation's side as of late (Ghis Sonny). Vince asks him who the hell does he think he is, sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. Vince says if this man ever again shows his face in a WWF arena, there's going to be hell to pay, and The Corporation will make sure of it. The next is Chyna. Vince says he guesses anything can happen in the WWF, sure, Chyna is #30 in the Royal Rumble Match. Vince said that if he wanted to take liberties against Chyna, he could've punched her lights out. Vince says apparently, since Chyna wants to enter a man's world, he has a little proposition for Chyna....and that's in this very ring, right here tonight, one-on-one, it wouldn't be fair if he competed with Chyna in a wrestling match, but let's see what she has as far as the 20-inch guns are concerned. Vince proposes that they hook-up in an arm wrestling match. Vince says again showing his gentlemen qualities, he'll even mask his 20-inch guns and cover them up with a big sweatshirt, so that Chyna will not be intimidated. Shane McMahon gets a message and he gets up from the commentary table to tell his father something, saying "Michaels can't do that!".
Shane informs Vince that he was just told over the headset that Shawn Michaels was recovering from his operation, and just called in tomorrow night's main event between Kane and The Rock. Shane also informs Vince that Michaels just signed the man responsible for being a thorn in The Corporation's side for the past few weeks, Ghis Sonny to a WWF contract! The Rock is livid about this news! Unbelievable! Obviously Shawn Michaels still inserting his power as WWF Commissioner. What will this be for The Corporation? And with the Royal Rumble just a week away, how will this match against Kane impact The Rock's chances of regaining the WWF Championship in that I Quit Match against Mankind?
Segment #1: Vince McMahon and The Rock
Vince is in his office with The Rock. Vince says this is ridiculous, but tomorrow night's going to be a piece of cake. The Rock expresses his concerns and says he or Vince doesn't know what Kane is gonna do. Vince says Kane is going to do what he tells him and that he owns Kane. Vince says if Kane doesn't do what he tells him, he will send him back to the looneybin. The Rock says that's where Kane belongs. The Rock says he's going out there with his $500 shirt tomorrow night and it can't get ripped. Vince says to just leave it in his hands and assured Kane won't be a problem.
Segment #2: Tiger Ali Singh issues an open challenge
Tiger Ali Singh says what he's gonna do right now is issue an open challenge to any American peasant that is stupid enough to stand up for their disgusting and deplorable country.
Match #1: Tiger Ali Singh vs Gillberg
Gillberg connects with The Spear, but it is Gillberg who goes down. It's as if he performed a Spear on a brick wall! Tiger Ali Singh puts the boots to Gillberg. Tiger Ali Singh nails Gillberg with The Razor's Edge. Tiger Ali Singh attempts to suplex Gillberg, but Gillberg blocks it and attempts to hit The Jackhammer. Tiger Ali Singh collapses on Gillberg and here's the pin. 1...2...3! Gillberg is 0-3, so the streak continues as it appears Tiger wasn't first after all.
Segment #3: Michael Cole interviews Shane McMahon
Michael Cole asks Shane McMahon his thoughts on the WWF's newest superstar, Ghis Sonny. Shane says he may be contracted to the WWF, but he's got to pass the "Test" first. Shane says at the Royal Rumble, Sonny will have his first WWF match against Test. Shane says hopefully Sonny will learn a lesson in respect....because nobody disrespects him, his pops, and The Corporation and gets away with it.
Match #2: Mark Henry vs Too Cool Scorpio

Introductory Segment: Michael Cole interviews Stone Cold Steve Austin
RAW kicks off with Michael Cole introducing Stone Cold Steve Austin as he comes out to a huge pop from the crowd. Michael Cole welcomes Stone Cold back and says that Stone Cold will enter the Royal Rumble Match at #1. Stone Cold grabs the mic and says before they talk about the Royal Rumble, let's go back a couple of weeks to Monday Night RAW when in this very ring, the look on Vince McMahon's face when he **** near ****** his pants when Mankind beat The Rock fair and square....1,2,3....right in the middle of this ring to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion. Stone Cold says he gives Mick Foley credit because he is one tough *******. But also, as far as Mankind's concerned, there's good news and there's bad news. The good news is Mankind is a deserved and respected World Wrestling Federation Champion. The bad news is when the bell rings to start the match at Wrestlemania, Mankind will be in one corner, there'll be a referee around here somewhere, and over in the other corner, the S.O.B in this corner will be Stone Cold Steve Austin. Stone Cold says going into the Royal Rumble, no one knows that it is Steve Austin, and that it could be his last opportunity at a title shot here in the World Wrestling Federation because Vince McMahon drew Steve Austin as man #1 in the Royal Rumble, and on top of that, but a $100,000 bounty on his head which means every S.O.B that comes through there, and comes into the ring is going to looking to throw Steve Austin's *** over the top rope, but EH, EH....OH NO! There ain't no way that's going to happen! Stone Cold says Vince thought he was some kind of mastermind when he made himself the 30th man in the Rumble, but oh no, that came back and bit him on his *** when Commissioner Shawn Michaels made him man #2 in the Royal Rumble. So thinking about this for the last week, he'll be asking the people the same 2 questions he's been asking himself. "If you want me to beat Vince McMahon's *** all night long, give me a hell yeah!"*Crowd chants Hell Yeah!*. Stone Cold says "The other question is, if you want me to win the Royal Rumble, give me another hell yeah!" *Crowd chants Hell Yeah!*. Stone Cold says that's exactly what he thought, so he says he's going to beat Vince McMahon's *** all night long, on top of that, Stone Cold will win the Royal Rumble, and when all the smoke is clear and the last S.O.B is sent flyin' over these top ropes, when the smoke is clear, Vince will know that "Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ***!". Stone Cold celebrates with some beer for a while, before eventually making his way backstage. We've heard from Stone Cold, but I don't think we've seen the last of him tonight. could this Sunday's Rumble on PPV be Stone Cold's last chance at getting a shot at the WWF Title? Stone Cold says he's gonna win it, but there's $100,000 that says that he's not going to win it, and Mr. McMahon says there is absolutely "No Chance In Hell" Stone Cold will win.

Once his training is over, Vince is with his son, Shane, and has a message for Stone Cold. Vince says it all started when he was the last line of defense, #30 in the Royal Rumble. When all else failed, he was going to sacrifice himself....he was going to be the last person there to make sure Stone Cold didn't win the Royal Rumble, but that crooked Commissioner, Shawn Michaels makes him #2. Vince says that's alright, because thanks to his son, Shane, he's ready for Stone Cold. ***We cut to the parking lot of the Arrowhead Pond, where Steve Austin arrives to the arena in his truck.***
Steve Austin arrives to the arena in his truck. Apparently according to the security guard, this area is reserved for limousines only, which also means V.I.P's only.
Well I can appreciate the fact if you don't think I'm a V.I.P, then I can **** sure buy a limousine, now get the hell out of the way!
***Austin does a 180 in his truck and speeds on his way to apparently get a limousine.***
***"No Chance In Hell" (which is also the theme song for tonight's Royal Rumble PPV) plays, and here comes Shane & Vince McMahon, along with Brisco & Patterson in tow.***
Ladies & gentlemen, the owners of the World Wrestling Federation....Vince & Shane McMahon!
Both McMahons and the Associates get tremendous heat from the crowd.
Boy, he certainly does look to be in tremendous shape. You hear the mantra, "No Chance In Hell". Those words echoing throughout the sold-out Arrowhead Pond here in Anaheim, CA. The look on Mr. McMahon's face speaks of intensity, but in less than 1 hour, he will face Stone Cold Steve Austin. It is guaranteed....Austin, #1. McMahon, #2 in the Royal Rumble. Weeks of intensive training have prepared him for tonight, but can he ever really be prepared for what Mr. McMahon will face in the Royal Rumble, and why has Stone Cold been denied access here into the building?
Crowd chants arse**** at McMahon
How about for once, just a little bit of respect? Just once? Everybody knows my reputation as a street fighter, which is why tonight, Stone Cold Steve Austin has no chance in hell of winning the Royal Rumble. Speaking of Stone Cold, I tell you what I'm gonna do: I'm going to call out Stone Cold later on tonight, and if he has the guts to show up, I'm going to tell him exactly what I'm gonna do to him tonight. So Austin, I'm gonna give you 30 minutes to show up. Mankind on the other hand is resting, preparing for his title defense against The Rock at the Royal Rumble. Well, to make sure that Mankind has no excuse when he screams the words: "I quit", I tell you what we're gonna do: Mankind, we're gonna have a little tune-up match.
What? Well, that is unfair!
The crowd once again chants arse**** at McMahon
That's Right. We're gonna have a little tune-up match tonight, Mankind. Right here on Heat, prior to the Royal Rumble.
***Cameras pan to the backstage area, where Mankind is watching the segment on a TV. The cameras eventually pan back to the arena at ringside***
And Mankind, let's just say that you're opponent will remain a mystery. I thank you very much.
Well, I can imagine what all of you at home fell about this. What is facing Mankind here in the hour? It's absolutely unfair as he prepares tonight for what will be a tremendously physical contest against The Rock....I Quit Rules. Can you explain to me, Shane why Mr. McMahon is having Mankind have a tune-up match tonight? Are you kidding me?
My dad's extremely generous. That's exactly what the WWF Champion, Mankind needs. He needs to warm up just a little bit. So we're doing Mankind a favor.
And not only that, but Mr. McMahon is also going to be calling out Stone Cold....telling him what he's going to do to him before these 2 men meet in the Royal Rumble tonight.
You just heard the man, didn't you? That's exactly what he's gonna do.
***The camera pans to the parking lot area, where a limousine pulls out. Is it Austin who commandeered the limo? No, it's Mankind's mystery opponent instead! Who will Mankind's mystery opponent be later toninght?***

Scorpio powerbombs Scott Taylor with authority. Scorpio looking to end this one early with a Moonsault, but Christopher is there to clip the ankles of Scorpio, sending him crashing to the mat hard. Scott Taylor tags in his partner, and the 2 men set up Scorpio for the double suplerplex. What an impact! Christopher goes to pick up Scorpio, but he reveres it into a schoolboy pin.

1....2....3! The J.O.B Squad gets the victory!
The J.O.B Squad celebrate the win....but wait a minute! What is this? That's The Acolytes & Mideon! Members of the Ministry Of Darkness laying waste to both teams. Spine Buster to Scorpio by Farooq. And now a Powerbomb to Brian Christopher by Bradshaw. Farooq picks up Brian Christopher and Irish whips him into a wicked Clothesline From Hell from Bradshaw. The Ministry clears the ring. The arena darkens as the Undertaker's music plays.
The presence of the Undertaker....an ominous air. Along with Paul Bearer, the Undertaker has arrived. Last Monday on RAW, the Undertaker had a haunting prophecy awaiting the Royal Rumble.
I'm just speechless. This is cool baby! The Undertaker. Man, he is....that's bad***! That's definitely a different Undertaker. Definitely!
That is the face of pure evil. For years, the Undertaker walked alone. Now, building an army with The Acolytes. The transformation of Dennis Knight into Mideon. What is on the agenda of the Ministry Of Darkness tonight?
***Undertaker grabs a mic.***
Later tonight, the lambs will be lead to the slaughter. Tonight, I will choose my next victim. The choice shall be clear. Accept the darkness, and the everlasting life that it possesses....or subject yourself to torment and pain for what I have to offer is nothing else. So there's 30 men that stand waiting to fight, you must concern yourself with only 1 thing: Will you accept the Lord of darkness as your savior, and allow the purity of evil to guide you?
The prophecy of the Undertaker and the Ministry Of Darkness. An ominous threat to all 30 who participate in the Royal Rumble tonight. What does the Ministry Of Darkness plan to do?
***The camera pans to the boiler room, where Mankind is hanging out.***
Hey Mankind, it's unfortunate that you have to compete twice here this evening, but speaking for the millions, and millions of The Rock's fans, I can't wait to hear you whimper those words "I quit"!
You are sadly mistaken you pretentious little twit. You see, Mankind does not whimper, but it will not be I, it will be The Rock, and he'll be screaming the magic words "I quit, I quit, I QUIT"!
Thank you for those kind words, Mick.
***The cameras pan back to the arena as Sable makes her way down to the ring.***
Sable, to put it bluntly, Luna's made it clear that she will leave the Arrowhead Pond tonight, the WWF Women's Champion.
There's no question that Luna deserves a shot at the Women's Title. Let's face it, she's one of the best. Unfortunately, this isn't about business anymore. She's made it very personal. If she wanted a shot at my Title, all she had to do was ask me, and I would have gladly given it to her.
***Luna runs down to the ring and attacks Sable, hitting a backbreaker on her. Satisfied with her work, Luna leaves the ring. The damage done.***
"An empire is out to destroy
A bounty has every man gunning for him
But first, Austin will get his hands on McMahon
30 Men, One Ring, One Man Left Standing
The WWF Royal Rumble....Presented live....Tonight on PPV!"
***We are back from commercial break as Vince makes his way to the ring.***
Oh yeah, here comes the man! Well of course, you know my Pops. He is the street fighter. Every time my dad got into a fight, he told his opponent, whomever it was, exactly what was going to go down, and my dad would just do it to em'.
Well, Mr. McMahon gave Stone Cold Steve Austin 30 minutes to show up here in the Arrowhead Pond. At the same time, he denied Austin access to the arena. But I have a feeling, Shane....Austin will be here. Austin won't miss an opportunity to look Mr. McMahon in the eye before the 2 of them go face-to-face, and nose-to-nose as numbers 1 & 2 respectively in the Royal Rumble.
I regret to inform you, Stone Cold Steve Austin apparently is not coming back to the arena. Either he got lost from the employees parking lot, or Austin quite frankly, could very well be having second thoughts about....
***The camera cuts to the parking lot, where we see a limousine jacked up like a monster truck. The limousine runs right through the V.I.P parking and over some parked cars.***
What the hell? What the?
Well, Mr. McMahon I think, just witnessed the limousine making it's way, informing Mr. McMahon of what's going on.
***The limousine parks, and coming out of the limousine is none other than the Texas Rattlesnake himself. Stone Cold Steve Austin!***
It's Austin! It's Austin! It's Austin!
Alright, good. We're going to get this over. I've got something to say to Stone Cold. I've just one thing to say.
Austin's on his way! You didn't obviously think Stone Cold was going to stay away.
I'm glad he's back to tell you the truth, as I can't wait to see my Pops slap the taste out of his mouth!
C'mon Austin, your time is up!
***Austin gets in the ring***
I've got just one thing to say to you.
***Vince slaps Stone Cold in the face, and Vince gets the hell out of dodge while Austin beats up McMahon's associates, Brisco & Patterson***
Oh yeah! Yeah baby! Way to go Pops! Good job! Good Job!
Oh wait a minute, Austin's not chasing Mr. McMahon. Is time running out for Mr. McMahon? It appears that the owner of the WWF is now on the clock of The Rattlesnake.
***Video plays hyping the Austin vs McMahon feud. The events that has so far led up to the Royal Rumble.***
Match #2: Mankind vs ???
Mankind's mystery opponent turns out to be none other than Mabel. The match starts off with the 2 getting into a test of strength. Mankind gets shoved into a corner. Mankind throws a few punches and rams Mable's head into the turnbuckle. Mankind hammers away on Mabel in the corner with a fury of fists, following it up with a running knee to the face of Mable, who was sitting in the corner. Mabel gets right back up and Mankind gets taken down with a stiff clothesline. Mable measures Mankind and takes him down with a shoulder block. Mankind rolls out of the ring and the 2 men fight on the outside for a while. Mankind rams Mable face first into the steel steps twice before getting back into the ring. Mankind with 2 kicks to the section of Mabel, but Mabel is unfazed by the kicks. Mabel lands some stiff shots on Mankind. Mabel Irish whips Mankind into a corner and nails him with a corner clothesline. Mankind gets Irish whipped from corner to corner and gets decked with a clothesline. Mabel has Mankind draping over the middle rope and drives his knee into the back of Mankind. Mable Irish whips Mankind and attempts a clothesline. Mankind ducks, kick to the gut....Double Arm DDT! Mankind is signalling for Mr. Socko. A groggy Mable gets to his feet and here it comes....the Mandible Claw! Mankind has Socko right down in the gullet of Mabel! The Rock comes running down the ramp and into the ring. Rock Bottom on Mankind! The referee signals this match as Mankind wins by disqualification. Mabel hits a big splash on Mankind! The Rock grabs the mic and has something to say.
Now The Rock says, you piece of trash, that you're gonna say "I quit", and he's gonna show you why The Rock is The Great One, and you're not! You're looking at the next WWF Champ!
The Rock puts the boots to Mankind as Sunday Night Heat comes to a close, and the Royal Rumble just a few minutes away.
